Hang in there. Your input is important. I'm not a total tech geek or anything, so my solution to almost everything is to pound my fist on the desk, reboot, uninstall, re-install ....several times if necessary. Of course there is also my pesky firewall....it's like the guard dog you have to scoop up behind, but when the house next door gets burglarized you are glad that crappy dog was protecting your sheet.
