Searching trac for:
DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database
…produces 118 hits. Most of those are pretty much the same with the exception of #4559 which had a slightly different error, and #4945 where it was a clean install but the user had copied ~/Library/Application Support folder from a backup to the new system. After deleting the database files everything worked fine.
