We’re thinking of making an extension system for Democracy Player (like Firefox has). But we want to try to gauge whether there is real interest in making extensions and what kind of extensions people would be most likely to make, so that we know what functionality needs to be possible to modify.

So… what kind of extension would you like to see for Democracy Player? If you’re a developer, do you think that you would make an extension? Ultimately, the question is: should we put some of our developers’ time into making this possible? It’s up to you– leave us a comment.

We’ve posted versions of Democracy Player 0.9.2 that have updated translation files. If you use Democracy Player in a language other than english, you should download this update: Get Democracy Player 0.9.2.2.

Our determination to find the developer who fits most perfectly with us at PCF can only be described as ‘dogged’. One brainstorm we had was to give a shout out to folks that have a special affection for Lisp and Scheme. Democracy isn’t written in those languages, but some developers here think that the kind of person who likes those languages would be likely to be a good fit. Know anyone?
