So, RC1 on Windows only worked if you were in a special ‘-console’ mode, but we’ve fixed that. Sorry for the trouble.
If this RC2 works well, we may release at the beginning of the week. Give it a shot, will ya?

So good so far on OS X Intel. Fabulous client guys, keep up the good work.
I gave this a go since the currently released beta of 0.9.2 has been giving me a little trouble in terms of heavy CPU usage. This version seems to have resolved that issue as well as some previous issues with some feeds that were present in last month’s nightly builds.
Just installed RC2 on Mac OS X (10.4.8) Democracy has been mixing English and German in the program interface for some time in my experience. At first I thought it was just a problem with my Mac but I put Democracy on my brother’s Mac and the same problem occured.
Gaylen– is your computer set to German? DP will show languages in order of preference… if some part of the interface has not been translated in your first-choice language (german), it will show the rest of the string in your 2nd choice (english).
On Windows XP Sp2, having trouble with Yahoo and Google video downloads- they either won’t download at all, or they seem to take a second to download, and then won’t play. YouTube seems fine however.
Where is the option to save Channels in appropriately named folders?! This would be a huge benefit for those of us who are watching our video’s on a TV through a media server. Very often the file names are not descriptive enough, particularly when they are all lumped into one folder by Democracy.
Barry– sorry to hear that… is anyone else having trouble with Yahoo / Google search?
Kremb– the 0.9.5 versions will save your videos in folders organized by channel names. Is that not working for you?
Thanks, it did work for a day and saved into folders. Now when I load the program only a small top right box of the normal program window can be seen! A very hard bug to describe. It appears that the program is still dl/ing feeds. One of the few menu items I can see is the file item. When I go to “close” it asks if I really want to quit as the program is downloading some files.
kremb– can you send a screenshot to me? nicholas-at-pculture.org
kremb- and can you give me some more details about what type of computer you are on?
sent an email……
