Democracy Player was released for Windows and Mac in late February last year. Since then, we have counted just over 1 million downloads. That’s a great number to hit. (And it doesn’t even include most of our linux downloads, since those have happened primarily through distributions and we can’t track those numbers.)
And the downloads are growing with every release. In the beginning and middle of last year, we were seeing 30,000 – 60,000 downloads each month. This February– ending yesterday– we hit a new high for us of over 167,000 downloads. At that rate, our next million should come a lot quicker than the first.
