PHP Volunteer Needed

April 19th, 2007 by Nicholas Reville

We’re getting a new t-shirt store ready for Miro and we need to write a pretty simple php shopping cart application for it. We have mockups and html ready to go– it will actually work pretty similarly to our current store.

Is there anyone out there with good PHP skills that would like to help us write this? You’ll get much appreciation and free t-shirts. It will be a little bit of a blitz to get this done within a couple weeks, but I do think it will be pretty simple and probably wouldn’t take more than 8-12 hours total for someone who knows their stuff (we will do all the html stuff and paypal will handle the hard parts anyway).

The software will be open-source and probably very useful for all small stores.

Let me know if you’re interested!!! nicholas@pculture.org

Update: We’ve got someone and we’re getting started. Thanks!

Why don’t you guys just install os commerce on the server and be done with it?

Anyway, I am looking for someone to help me with 3 installs of the broadcast machine. I have never built this software before so someone doing for me while I watch would be great. There is money in it for you. I was going to elance it but hay at the horse’s mouth usually gets eaten first. Peace out. Send me email if anyone wants to fritter away a few bucks they made helpin out…I am open to suggestions on amuont…..

Al, I actually think installing OS commerce and getting it working would take as much effort as writing this simpler shopping cart. OS Commerce is just way too big for what we need.

I’ve been doing OSComerce carts for the past few months, and they’re fairly easy to set up when you get down to it. A coworker of mine set a new personal record the other day, start to finish cart in 5 hours.

I will do it. Email me.
