Miro 2.0 Release Candidate 3 (the last one! we’re pretty sure!)

February 8th, 2009 by Nicholas Reville

Alright.

We have one last, and we hope final final release candidate before Miro 2.0 bursts onto the scene. This is your last chance to help us find tragic flaws and your last chance to get a sneak peak before it’s officially launched and your last chance to help us translate for this version.

Download Miro 2.0 RC3 — Download for Windows — Download for Mac — Download Source

Translating Miro: As many of you know, Miro and the Miro Guide are 100% volunteer translated. If you know any non-English languages, then we’d love to have you translate and/or refine the existing translations. Instructions for helping translate >>

Testing Miro: Using the latest pre-release version of Miro is really fun — and if you’ve got some time to help us run a few tests, we’d be really happy. Testing Steps:

  1. Download the pre-release version of Miro 2.0 (Windows, Mac, Linux).
  2. (optional) Back up your Miro database… better safe than sorry.
  3. Install your pre-release.
  4. Help us run Litmus tests. Janet has an easy to follow guide for testing with Litmus.

Thanks everyone and get ready for a big launch!

p.s. You may have noticed that the all new Miro Guide is going live tonight. We wanted to get it in place before Miro 2.0 is released so that we don’t have too many things changing at once.

This build feels solid. I'm excited about the launch. Are there plans for marketing, similar to Spread Firefox?

Still can't get the miro runing in Task manager even after 532 times trying to stop it and even uninstalling the entire program!! It has been days now and no change. This is how virusus behave.
Why is no one addressin g this here? I posted this days ago. This was the previous version if this helps but it won't allow me to install the new o ne obviously as it sees the uninstalled program as still running.
I had several crashes since this began.

Thank you for the last update of the Miro software, and i personally am looking forward to testing this program. I am interested and i enjoy the fact that this software has a back – up option. I have seen this option to back – up the files and recover the lost ones in a similar software done for the proper functionality of Microsoft Windows at the jv16 PowerTools 2009 programs. I have thought that this would be an interesting information for the blog readers. Also, i am looking forward to seeing your next blog posts.

Looking for something?
