There are some awesome improvements in this release.
1. Song information and Album art lookup
Clean up your music collection by automatically looking up
the Artist, correct title, and album name and artwork among other thing.
2. Album View
A clean view to group together all your songs by Album and Artist. Also a simplified way to view video items by kind (Movies, Clips, Podcasts…)
3. Faster Device Syncing and Conversions
We’ve added a Quick fill option to get your music onto your device fast! Automatic syncing, options to convert only when necessary, and updates to the ffmpeg binaries.
4. eMusic in the Stores section
Purchase music from eMusic and add it straight to your library.
5. Download HD videos from Vimeo feeds
When available, you can now download HD quality videos from Vimeo podcasts.
6. Massive updates to the Windows backend
From playback to gui display to libtorrent, everything is updated and upgraded.

Could you guys try to make a portableapps.com version of miro? I like to use Miro as a podcast manager but I reinstall often and I have never gotten it to work after installing a new OS.

Have you guys changed the interface for Windows? It completely sucked on version 4 ‘-’
Hi Gabriel, we haven’t changed the UI for Miro 5. If you have more descriptive words than ‘sucked’, please emai with the things you don’t like and we can see what improvements we can make. feedback@pculture.org
Oh great, regression. The stupid .miro folders have reappeared on all my drives. And all of the text seems to have shrunk slightly.
Also (not that it’s a big deal anymore with 8gB of RAM) but memory usage is still ridiculous (145mB, not playing or downloading anything). More than anything else other than my browsers with dozens of tabs open.
Hi Isaac,
thanks for alerting us to this. I filed a bug here: http://bugzilla.pculture.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18895 and we will get it corrected before release.
Another thing, youtube videos no longer have generated thumbnails, just generic ones (Windows 7).
